Jeffrey Moore was
born and raised in a small town in East Texas
named Winnsboro.This part of the world
has always been “home” to him and it is a place that he still enjoys retreating
to when time allows.
Jeffrey accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 9 at a
revival meeting with Elvis’ step-brother, Rick Stanley.After High School, he attended BaylorUniversity
where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, but most importantly
where he met the lady who is now his beautiful wife, Kristine!
His journey with Jesus continued during college where he was
led to participate in a short-term (2-week) mission trip to a small town in the
south of Poland,
where his team taught English as a second language during the day and led
evangelistic meetings at night.This
first experience with international missions taught him much about how to have
a successful trip, and about God’s heart for the nations.
After marrying Kristine in 1996, Jeffrey served in many
different capacities at AuroraAllianceChurch,
in Aurora, Colorado, including participating in the
Praise Team, leading small groups and Concerts of Prayer and Praise, preaching
and serving as an Elder and member of the Church Governing Board.
In 2006, God once again called Jeffrey to international
missions as a member of a prayer team that visited the West African country of Burkina Faso.His heart was definitely broken over the
condition, both physical and spiritual, of the people there.In 2007, God called him back to Burkina Faso to
be an Ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) of God’s Kingdom to the people there.
2007 was a year of great change for Jeffrey and
Kristine.God clearly called them out
from AuroraAllianceChurch and led them to Freedomin Colorado Springs, Colorado,
led by Apostle Dutch Sheets, where they are learning to be properly
connected to the Body of Christ, and to operate in new giftings that God is
blessing them with.
Jeffrey has been called by God to be a “Shepherd” to His
people.He believes that this call to
pastoring is a gift rather than a position, and he looks for ways to fulfill
God’s call in his life.Currently Jesus
has been teaching Jeffrey much about the subject of healing and prophecy, so he is stepping
out in obedience in these areas also.Though
his day job is as a geologist, he is available to speak and minister whenever
he is invited, at the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Jeffrey and Kristine founded Set Sail Ministries in 2007, in
obedience to God’s call to “Set sail with Me.”They look forward to seeing where God will take them next!
